Alex

In English we had been reading a book called Alex. The first half of the book was really boring but the second half was really good. Alex is about a girl who is trying to get into the Rome Olympics in 1960. At first she had no competition until Maggie came along. Maggie is a faster swimmer than Alex Causing Alex to work hard to be able to go to Rome. I have finished reading the book and I really enjoyed it.

    Hey Jess! Yeah I agree with you, I really didn’t enjoy reading the Alex book at the start, and I found it hard to understand what was going on. But as I read more and got past the second half of the book, I started to enjoy it more.
